It went off to college with one of our kids, lived in Pacific Beach with another, and eventually became the adventure-mobile for our senior black Lab when getting in and out of our other cars became too difficult for him.That’s actually one of the main reasons we kept it so long.Now, at just **79,905 miles**, it’s ready for its next chapter.**The good:*** 2002 Ford Windstar LX* **Only 79905 miles*** Clean California title* Registration paid through **7/8/27*** Recently passed smog* Recent oil change* Starts right up* A/C works* AM/FM radio works* Interior is very clean for its age* No major rips or tears in seats or carpet* All seats and seatbelts are in good condition* Lots of passenger and cargo space* Original Ford owner’s manuals included* One keyThis would make a great inexpensive second vehicle, dog van, surf/beach vehicle, gear hauler, college car, or starter camper conversion.**Full disclosure:**The exterior definitely shows its age. The paint/clear coat has faded, especially on the hood, and there is **significant cosmetic rust along part of the roof**. There is also a cosmetic crack in the dashboard.One sliding door does not unlock with the power-lock button, but it works manually.The radio works, but for some reason it doesn’t fully turn off, so we’ve always just turned the volume down.The tire pressure sensor does not work.**Important ABS disclosure:**The van has a known ABS-system issue and the ABS warning light comes on. When braking, the system can briefly pulse/stutter before the ABS light illuminates. Several years ago we had it evaluated and were told the issue appeared to be related to the ABS computer/module and would be costly to repair, so we chose not to repair it.We have **not** had the braking/ABS system inspected recently and are making no representation about its current mechanical condition.
