Description
It's finally time to sell my unicorn. It's a 2005 Ram 2500, Cummins 5.9, Mercedes G56 6-speed manual (the good one), 4x4, 8 foot long bed. Brand new Nitto Terra Grappler G3 35-inch tires, limited-slip 3.73:1 rear-end with brand-new internals, new tie rod ends and various front-end components, motor is a commercial-quality full remanufacture in 2019 with < 100k miles with a heavy-duty West Bend clutch. No DEF to deal with. Replacement headlights (no clouding). Heat, defrost, and AC all work. Seatbelts for six (but five is more realistic given that it's a manual). My overall combined city/highway average is 17mpg. It has manual door locks, manual roll-up windows, and full rubber floors (no carpet). It's got an upgraded Sony AM/FM/XM/CD stereo and is pre-wired for a Tekonsha trailer brake (wiring harness included, but not the Tekonsha itself). Heavy-duty 12vdc power in the cab wired directly to the battery plus a motorola antenna mount, ready for ham radio, GMRS, CB, or commercial radio. Passes emissions effortlessly. Good spare (a Nitto Grappler G2 from the last set of tires). Runs and drives like new. It's 21 years old, and has been used as a real truck, so it's got some minor dents and dings, a couple of spots of bad paint, and a few interior wear spots, and one rust spot (just behind the front passenger tire, visible in the photos), but overall, it's a very clean and good-looking truck. The photos show the true condition. It will happily tow anything you can hook to the back up I70 over the pass and will carry anything that will fit in the bed. It's no Jeep, but with the 35-inch tires, the granny first gear, limited slip, and the grunt of the I6, it's surprisingly good off-road for the size and will climb almost anything at idle with your feet flat on the floor. This thing easily has another 20+ years of life in it. If you've tried to find one of these, you'll know that you can go six months at a stretch without finding one for sale anywhere in the US with this combination of options. Selling because I bought the brand-new version of the same truck for multiple cross-country trips in the next six months and my wife doesn't like to drive a manual. Cash only, no trades.
